Welcome to a nice glass and fine appetizers – discover my diverse, mostly handwoven products. For many years, I have been processing more and more local sheep’s wool, spun and dyed in the Vetsch wool mill in Prättigau: e.g. for the blankets wollok special, handwoven unique items made from pure Swiss sheep’s wool. But there are also soft plaids, warm scarves, a wide variety of rugs and now back in stock: the beautiful colors of pacoco and copaco, the easy-care cotton blanket, industrially manufactured in Lithuania according to my designs. Come by and find your favorite piece! I look forward to your visit!

With “neue räume 24”, Switzerland’s largest design platform is once again in preparation. The exhibition invites architects, planners, interior designers, students and end consumers to be inspired by new and creative designs from the design industry in the atmospheric setting of the old industrial halls in Zurich Oerlikon.
As an additional highlight to the presentations by over 100 innovative manufacturers from Switzerland and abroad, “neue räume 24” will be showing interesting special exhibitions on current topics. An exciting programme of events and varied culinary discoveries make the visit a comprehensive experience.

Once upon a time there was a sofa with water damage. It needed a new look. I happily seized this opportunity and developed and wove a colourful sofa cover fabric from my robust carpet yarn. René Fasolin has dressed the sofa with perfect craftsmanship and the result is not only beautiful, but it is also wonderful to sit on! I would like to show you this and raise a glass with you! And because summer is supposed to be coming after all, the summer blankets pacoco and copaco are available exclusively for all those who come by at a special sofa price of CHF 150!

The design of my 7th schal-paca series, hand-woven from 100% superfine alpaca, is based on a phenomenon discovered by chance. During the washing of a weaving test for blankets, a simple fabric was transformed into a complex fabric pattern. This transformation forms the basis for the new unique series of 13 new schal-pacas, which captivates with bold, bright colour combinations and a few subtly understated pieces. However, the true beauty of these wonderfully soft unique pieces only unfolds when they are wrapped joyfully around the neck.

Finally, a new and twelfth series of bastard rugs has been completed! I would like to toast to this with you over a cosy autumn aperitif.
The design for bastard was created in 2003, as a further development of the rug weichling. It is, so to speak, the colourfully patterned child of the remaining yarns of seven different monochrome coloured weichlings. But it is also my homage to the much-vaunted oriental rug: the proud weight, the exclusive density, the warm-soft feel, paired with the lush, complex patterning, which inevitably tempts you to follow the patterns and go for meditative walks…

In music, sweet spot refers to the optimal point of attack on an instrument. Can there also be a sweet spot in the exchange with artists from different disciplines? How can sound in combination with another art form result in a whole that is more than the sum of its parts? The sound artist Fritz Hauser (b.1953, Basel) seeks dialogue across media boundaries. Both in the exhibition and in its activation, he explores the ques- tion of the sweet spot in the fields of music, painting, video, textile design, photography, collage, drawing, space and light—an energetic polyphony.

Once upon a time
a proud, beautiful, white alpaca lady named Shirin, who was shorn by her breeder in Ortschwaben/BE before my eyes. I had the extremely fine fleece spun in Amlikon-Bissegg/TG and then wove it into a wonderfully soft and above all unique cloth.
This exclusive piece as well as other hand-woven scarves, blankets, shawls and rugs can be seen, touched and bought at my workshop & workshow.

pacoco Neustart!

7 years ago I created my design Pacoco, a summer blanket for the Cologne label UTENSIL. Today I am pleased to announce that since May 2019 the blanket pacoco is exclusively a product of the collection Isabel Bürgin. For this occasion I have designed two more colorways for pacoco and on top of that the new pattern copaco. The results are powerfully iridescent and complement pacoco 1 and 2 beautifully.
An Apéro with musical strike of the hour by Fritz Hauser (12.00 & 13.00) for pacoco-fans and all who want to get one.
